    • had various different stories and legends
      • was said to be protected by clashing rocks, monsters, and by mountains that could pull nails from ships
      • the edge of the world was sheer, ship would plunge over edge to fall for days till fierce winds broke it apart, the wreckage was lifted up to the bottom of the sea.
    • fabled:
      • in the maelstroms south and west of Tyros, shattered planking was sometimes found, it was said some of this was from ships who sought the worlds end.
